Beach wedding at Lipa Lodge Beach Resort Koh Samui Thailand

Destination wedding of Nicole and Shane, wedding couple from Canada. These photos were taken at Lipa Lodge Resort on Koh Samui (Samui Island, Ko Samui) in Thailand.
The whole coverage took about 8 hours, starting from getting ready to the end of dinner reception.

We started our photography coverage with bride and groom getting ready in their hotel room. The couple each had their own room for getting ready. We started with photographing Nicole getting her hair and makeup done. We also used this moment to photograph wedding rings and dress. At some point during the getting ready, we also went to Shane’s room which was only few steps away, to photograph him getting ready as well. After we had finished photographing the groom getting ready, we went to the beach to check on the decorations for the wedding ceremony. The hotel staffs had everything prepared by the time we got there so we were able to photograph the settings, flowers, and other decorative items with plenty of time to spare. Below are some of the pictures that we took.

The beach wedding ceremony was consisted of speeches and exchange of wedding rings. This was around 4pm with sun shining beautifully in the background. The sunlight gave warm tone to the pictures. After the wedding ceremony, we first did a group pictures with all the guest before proceeded to do portraits of the wedding couple on the beach and around the area. We especially love the silhouette picture of the bride and groom against the sunset background.

The wedding dinner was held at a restaurant on the resort’s premises. This wasn’t a traditional wedding reception. There was no cake cutting or first dance. There were firework and few speeches toward the end of the dinner. We photographed the couple talking, interacting with the wedding guest.

We did not use camera flash at all. Our approach is mainly wedding photojournalism. We documented the wedding as it happened. We did not pose, direct, nor distract the couple and their guest. This approach produced meaningful pictures that truly represent their wedding day.

ภาพงานแต่งงานของคู่บ่าวสาวจากประเทศแคนนาดา เราเริ่มถ่ายภาพตั้งแต่ตอนแต่งตัว โดยเราได้เริ่มทำการถ่ายภาพในห้องของเจ้าสาวก่อน และเราได้ใช้เวลาระหว่างนี้ถ่ายภาพชุดแต่งงานและแหวนแต่งงานด้วย
หลังจากเราได้ภาพเจ้าสาวแต่งหน้าทำผมไปสักครูนึงแล้ว เราได้แวะไปห้องเจ้าบ่าวเพื่อถ่ายภาพเจ้าบ่าวแต่งตัว และระหว่างทางกลับไปห้องเจ้าสาว เราได้ไปดูบริเวณจัดงานบนชายหาด ซึ่งเมื่อเราไปถึง ทางโรงแรมได้จัดสถานที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว เราจึงทำการถ่ายภาพบริเวณจัดงานก่อนเดินกลับไปที่ห้องเจ้าสาว

งานแต่งงานบนชายหาดเป็นไปแบบประเภณีทางตะวันตก โดยจะมีการส่วมแหวนแต่งงาน หลังจากที่เสร็จสิ้นพิธีการแต่งงาน เราได้ทำการถ่ายภาพหมู่กับแขกที่มางาน ก่อนที่จะทำการถ่ายภาพคู่บ่าวสาวบนชายหาดและบนเวณใกล้เคียงก่อนที่จะเข้าสู่งานเลี้ยงแต่งงาน

งานเลี้ยงแต่งงานนี้แตกต่างจากงานเลี้ยงทั่วไปคืนไม่มีการตัดเค้กหรือโยนดอกไม้ เราถ่ายภาพคู่บ่าวสาวพูดคุยกับแขกที่มางาน

เวลาทั้งหมดในการถ่ายภาพงานแต่งงานนี้อยู่ที่ประมาณ 8 ชั่วโมง
